Our company, Giftee, primarily operates in the e-gift platform sector, providing content partners with comprehensive services from e-gift issuance to distribution and sales.
※ What is an eGift?
eGift is a form of gifting where you convert product URLs from convenience stores or well-known brands into product URLs, which can be easily sent via LINE or email. Simply sending the URL allows you to easily launch gifting campaigns, significantly reducing shipping and staffing costs.
In this project, the “Giftee Loyalty Platform” that Vareal participated in is a solution that allows businesses to sell products such as single-trip tickets, recurring tickets, or subscription packages as eGifts on their own websites. This solution contributes to promoting customer service usage and building a loyal customer base for the brand.
What challenges did you encounter while working at Giftee?
During the development of the "Giftee Loyalty Platform" as a new solution, we consistently faced a severe shortage of development resources. Therefore, we sought a system development company with the technical skills and abundant engineering resources to provide immediate support.
What were the main factors that led you to choose Vareal?
Flexibility in structural change
- The project may flexibly change the collaboration between the Project Manager and the engineer.
- The proposal to add more members dedicated to quality testing was also very well received.
Reduce development costs.
- Once the project stabilizes, reduce the working hours of the Japanese Project Manager.
- Instead, communicating directly with developers in Vietnam in English significantly reduces development costs.
How is the project progressing?
Communication primarily takes place through chat groups, task management is handled by a ticket pool system, and regular meetings are held every two weeks. Many members are very proactive, and communication in English is smooth and problem-free.
Please share your review of Vareal through this project?
One positive aspect is the ease of communication. Team members are all very pleasant, serious, and proactive in their work, which allows for a smooth development process. When a team member's skills don't match the project, a replacement is provided within a week of contacting the person in charge. Development is never stalled due to a lack of team members, and I am very pleased with the quick response. On the other hand, there are some difficulties in using the Quality Assurance (QA) team. It's difficult to communicate detailed data settings and subtle differences in use cases required for QA in English, and the communication costs seem too high. Therefore, we currently perform QA ourselves with internal members.
Finally, who do you think Vareal can help?
I believe their strengths lie in their high level of expertise and flexibility in team planning, making them a good choice for medium- and large-scale development projects that often face resource shortages.
