📊 System Overview
“renovo” is an intelligent system for real estate and construction companies, enabling digital transformation (DX) of the process for proposing and managing rental properties and renovation orders.
The system allows even newcomers to sales to provide advice without speaking, simply by touching the screen.
When interacting with the screen, the AI will automatically play a presentation, allowing users to complete the entire process from:
Planning and designing renovations
Signing contracts
Client management
Furthermore, in steps such as needs assessment, renovation construction, and quotation generation, users only need to select the parameters suitable for each homeowner's property, and the AI will automatically present and complete the entire proposal.
In addition, the system supports simulating revenue and expenses, closing contracts, signing agreements, and managing clients, all processed on a single platform.
This is an intelligent solution, suitable for the flexible working trends of the new era, allowing for consultations anytime, anywhere.
Context of the request
Amidst a declining population and a surge in real estate supply, prolonged vacancy rates and rising occupancy rates are becoming increasingly evident, driving the growth of the rental property renovation market.
However, customers are facing problems such as a shortage of sales personnel and a lack of experience/know-how, thus creating a need for a system that can help anyone, regardless of experience, to make proposals of a certain quality. It is from this need that the "renovo" automated sales support system was born.
During the partner selection process, clients pay particular attention to the following factors:

Design quality (UI/UX)
Ability to not only develop according to requirements but also proactively propose improvements during implementation

💡 Design Challenges and Solutions
Design issues and implementation solutions
Previously, part of the design had been done by a previous supplier, and we have proceeded to improve the areas that were not optimal.
First, we identified the problems and found the following points:
The screen switching buttons are too small, making them feel indistinct and prone to accidental presses.
Buttons with the same function have different interfaces, creating inconsistency.
There is no navigation system, so it’s impossible to quickly return to the desired page (you have to go back page by page).
Charts are not grouped by color, making them difficult to read.
There are too many font sizes, causing a lack of consistency.
Some pages are too long, requiring users to scroll extensively to view all the content.
Although the principle is that each screen slides horizontally once, there are still screens that interfere with the flow, which is inappropriate.
Based on the issues mentioned above, we have made the following improvements:
Increase button size for easier operation on tablets, while maintaining appropriate spacing to prevent accidental presses.
Standardize the interface for buttons with similar functions.
Add a navigation bar to the left, allowing for quick switching between pages and bookmarking.
Color-code charts according to priority for easier viewing.
Reduce the number of font sizes to ensure overall balance.
For excessively long pages, use tabs or accordions to divide content.
Reconsider the screen structure, categorizing by category; less priority pages can be separated or displayed in modals.
Development process
“Renovo” is designed for sales staff to directly interact with during negotiations. To ensure a realistic experience, we visited TRN and directly experienced the negotiations, thereby creating user stories and transforming them into business processes.
During the development of the proposed renovation function combining narration and animation, we focused on creating narration that was easy to listen to and natural. Specifically:
Adjust the speed and intonation of the voiceover to create a pleasant listening experience.
Prepare multiple voiceover samples using specialized software, then visit TRN directly to discuss and fine-tune the parameters until the optimal voiceover is achieved.
To ensure the voiceover matches the animation’s timing, the voiceover segments are broken down and synchronized to play at the right moment, providing a smooth and lively experience.
Development system
During the requirements definition and design phase, project managers (PMs), project leaders (PLs), and designers were involved on a partial delegation basis. During the development phase, engineers from our wholly owned subsidiary in Vietnam (our overseas software outsourcing facility) were involved under contract to support development.
In addition, the following resources were allocated throughout the 8-month development period.
PM (Japan): 4 people-month
Designer (Japan): 1-2 people-month
Developer (Japan + Vietnam): 28 people-month
QA (Vietnam): 5 people-month
🧠 Results and future support plans
We have delivered the Renovo system along with its user manual, helping to improve the quality and efficiency of work from proposal generation to customer management.
In the future, we will continue to provide support to continuously improve the system.
